Aburina Town

I admit I found Aburina Town by branching off Babymetal on YouTube.  Yeah, YouTube's "similar" tends to be very surface-oriented or "others listened to" in blind statistics.  Anyways, they are nothing like Babymetal, besides, yes, they are an all-girl Japanese band.  🙄

What grabbed my attention was the band's punk-ish sound/feel.  I was thrown back to my time in Baltimore.  They are like Social Distortion or Bad Religion in the "what's that sub-genre" way.  Oh, Yukinari, the guitarist, does wear a Buzzcocks shirt in several videos. If that says anything about what they listen to and maybe influenced by. They are on the punk-like playlists and more solidly than other bands.  

It is sad that, in the US, you can't find places to buy their stuff.  You can find videos on YouTube.  And these days it is possible to import CDs yourself.  I do wish that their catalog was more easily available here.
