Human Impact

Introduction

I first found out about them from this article.  What caught my attention was that they have members of Unsane, Swans, and Cop Shoot Cop. All are great bands, though I don't listen to them regularly. I would say that "caustic-sounding" as a description works.  But not as aggressive or fast-paced as other bands that get that label.

Does the band live up to the "supergroup" description?  I would say yes.  And the next question is should the good meaning or the derisive moniker be applied?  I'm leaning towards the former and not the latter.  I'm not well-tuned into the genre/style that Human Impact fits, but I do like them.  I can see them falling on and off the playlists.  Perhaps getting a bit more attention than the original bands for artists.  That could mean, for hardcore fans of the original bands, that it might lack something.  I don't know, everyone has different opinions.
