Introduction
I've liked Deftones for a long time. They consistently put out albums every few years. Back in the day, when I first started listening, I wouldn't have called them metal. They were dense, loud, dark, distorted, moody. Definitely in the "alternative" realm. But I guess as time has moved on, many folks call them metal. Anyways, they are soooo close to being "old stand-bys", definitely "tried and true", but just on the fence about "old stand-bys".
