Another band from way back in the alternative rock scene (think 1990's). Doug Martsch from Treepeople (another good band), as often happens, got tired of that band and originally started Built To Spill with new members every year. That got to be a bit much, and they finally settled into a lineup. They are their own thing, being adjacent to grunge rock, classic rock, post-punk, psychedelic rock, prog-ish rock.
